Mañana, domingo 26 de marzo, se celebrará la XXII edición del medio maratón Vig-Bay —pronúnciese tal cual se escribe, por favor, y no al estilo anglo, ya que procede del nombre de los municipios de salida y meta, Vigo y Baiona—; será mi segunda participación en esa distancia en esa prueba, ya que las otras dos veces en las que participé opté por la prueba mayor, el maratón, que no se celebrará este año.

Esas tres participaciones tuvieron cada una un sabor y una ilusión especiales, así que podría pensarse que la edición de este año sería una más, casi una rutina —bread and butter; business as usual—, sin ningún aliciente especial. Y sin embargo...

... Y sin embargo, participar en la edición de este año —para la cual, muy contrariamente a mis principios, costumbres y método, no he seguido ningún plan específico de preparación ni me he trazado ni propuesto ningún objetivo— me colma de una alegría íntima muy especial, muy potente, reconfortante y satisfactoria, tras haber superado ciertos contratiempos y haber burlado las puyas y las pullas de brujas y perras que ahora solo podrán ladrarle a mi sombra mientras me deslizo con la brisa. Porque habelas hainas.
